(This is a re-post because last night my internet connection was being a shady individual and wouldn't let me post this so here you go.)
So the fourth of July was yesterday. I had to stay at my grandmas and eat a bunch of food and stuff. Mostly, I had to *shudders* socialize. It wasn't unpleasant per say, but not exactly something I would have chosen to do. If it had been up to me, I would have spent the entire day alone, or maybe with a few choice friends, blowing things up in my backyard. Sort of like when Dean Winchester died and went to heaven to find God and one of the things he saw was that really happy memory of the Fourth of July with Sammy and they blew up stuff in a field? Yeah. That's my idea of fun. I mean, come on, that looked really fun and happy and not crowded with people you don't want to talk to.
My favorite thing about Fourth of July is easily blowing stuff up. But other than that, it's the fire. Most people have little campfires or something, but my family has this huge pile of sticks and wood and stuff that's in the backyard and just about every year we burn it on Fourth of July. It's very tall and very large. Once the fire gets going, the flames just engulf everything around it. But we keep it in check. We call it, jokingly, the Fire to the Gods. Haha. Sometimes we invite other people, but since we're a family of hermits, we only invite the uber cool people like good friends, and maybe you sometime, Alyssa. You definately qualify as uber cool. And we don't always have it on the fourth, sometimes it's a little before or after.
but anyways, Happy Friday, everyone. Don't waste your time. Go do something productive. or be like me and hermit. Or both. Both is good.
